Presentation Format

Presenters will be able to elect whether their contribution(s) will be presented as a talk or a poster. However, the symposium conveners in conjunction with the congress organisers reserve the right to make the final decision, depending on the number and quality of submitted abstracts.

The oral presentations will be projected using Microsoft PowerPoint. Please check that your presentation will run smoothly on Windows version 2003 / 2007 (PC version) before leaving for the congress. Each symposium speaker – with the exception of the keynote lecturers – should plan on a maximum of 10-12 minutes for their talk, which will allow 3-5 minutes for a question or two posed by the audience. It is essential for all symposium speakers to keep to their allotted time, to avoid being cut off in mid-flow. This will allow the symposium participants to move between the parallel sessions at the congress.

Posters should be European A0 size (841 mm wide x 1189 mm high) in portrait format. Mounting aids will be available on site.
