Abstract Submission

Participants who wish to give a presentation (oral or poster) must submit their abstract(s) by 2nd February 2018. Following registration, a delegate number will be allocated, which must accompany the abstract(s) at submission. Abstracts should be clear, concise and written in English with correct spelling and good sentence structure. When submitting abstracts, authors can choose whether a contribution should be a poster (choice “Poster”) or a talk (choice “Talk”). However, the choice made is a preference and is not binding. The Scientific Committee of FORAMS 2018 will assess the submitted abstracts and determine whether they are accepted for oral or poster presentation. A maximum of two abstracts can be submitted by one author (only 1 Talk per person is allowed).

Abstract submission / Guidelines

Please read this information carefully.

Only abstracts submitted by e-mail, as a word or PDF attachment, will be accepted (abstracts sent by regular post, or fax will not be accepted). Please use this template for abstract submission, and include your surname, registration & session numbers in the subject of your email. English is the sole language accepted for abstracts. Abstracts should be clear, concise and written in English with correct spelling and good sentence structure. The abstracts will be assessed by the Scientific Committee for their relevance to the FORAMS 2018 session themes, level of innovation and originality, objectivity, sound conclusion with scientific merit and using a good standard of English language. It is important to bear in mind that FORAMS 2018 favours studies based on data rather than general theoretical statements. Before submitting an abstract, please carefully consult the FORAMS 2018 session themes for relevance. Your abstract(s) must be submitted with your delegate number before 2nd February 2018. Once your abstract has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

2600 characters (with space) is the maximum total length of abstracts. Tables, images and references cannot be included in the abstract. Abstracts that are accepted, and for which a presentation (oral or poster) has been confirmed, will be placed on the USB stick provided in the FORAMS 2018 registration pack and will also be available as an online PDF file on the symposium website. The final decision concerning an abstract will be taken by the Scientific Committee of FORAMS 2018.

Following registration, abstracts must be submitted in conjunction with the allocated delegate number before 2nd February 2018.
